Upgrade multi-step content forms to Drupal 10 in the most ‘mainstream’ way available
Sadly the issue for Multistep Form Wizard in Drupal core [#1886616] is stalled, although someone did re-roll the five-year-old patch only five months ago.
Underlying user storage is in Drupal core now, and i believe CTools “Form wizard – an API to make multi-step forms much easier” uses it, and that the general idea of putting a better multi-step form API is to use the CTools approach, so we probably should too.
