Gnome Overview so slow it hurts
After using the computer a while going to the Gnome Overview (keep wanting to call it Exposé which is what i guess Mac called it when i first saw it) will freeze everything up for up to a dozen seconds— subsequent loads of the Overview are faster.
I do have about 90 windows open across two monitors. But it’s so bad i have considered adding back and training myself to use keep wanting to add shortcuts to my most-used
Debian 13 testing (Debian GNU/Linux trixie/sid), GNOME Shell 44.9
Probably my issue:
When opening the overview, all icons create shadow pipelines, which adds up to lag / slowdowns over time https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/7168
Maybe try first using the latest Gnome:

While that issue is not fixed, it links to several similar ones, some of which are fixed in Gnome 45
